Born on the shore of a small Bulgarian town and based in Paris, photographer Elina Kechicheva is a visionary artist with a vibrant poetic universe.
Elina came upon photography by borrowing a camera from her husband, a professional photographer. Her own career started in 1999 when she was discovered at The Hyeres Fashion Festival by Patrick Remi and Michel Mallard .
Her Slavic soul echoes through her photography where nature and emotions are deeply entangled. Freedom, delicateness and naturalness forcefully emanate from her work.
Her carefully composed images are genuine tableaux, combining romanticism with a unique approach to fashion photography. Elina has established her own personal style of perfectionism and imagination, patience and spontaneity.
Elina has exhibited her work worldwide and collaborated with fashion houses such as Dior on their SS 2021 campaign, for which she received an award for the best “Image de Luxe” from ACDA.
She has collaborated with renowned Magazines such as various editions of Vogue, Numéro, SSAW, Vanity Fair… She has also shot portraits of personalities including Amy Winehouse, Pharrell Williams,The Weeknd and Eva Green.
In 2021 she exhibited her work at the Bulgarian National Gallery with the solo show “Léthé”. She is currently working on her next exhibition on a post-pandemic return to nature, elemental beauty and aesthetics.
